Oscar Wilde said once that all art is quite useless and maybe that is why I had always loved the useless things.
I often, during my life, had to listen to people saying to me “you should do this because you need it”, “What is that for?” or “That is not necessary”. I should say that I had graduated myself in Environmental Engineer and since I was a student that I have lived in the middle of scientists or people that think with logic only and never bother to use anything else besides the meticulous part of the brain.
Sometimes, is when you are too much exposed to one thing that you start to love the opposite one and that is exactly what happened to me. Instead of loving efficiency I developed an unique love for pretty things just because. I like to do nothing, or doing something with no purpose. I enjoy buying stuff I don’t need but which I like to look at.
Life is more than breathing. And that is why we are different from animals: we seek a purpose of life. At least, I do.
